Yingling Encourages Area Students to Apply for Internship Program

GRAYSLKAE, Ill - State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, announced that his office is currently accepting applications for his college student internship program.

"As local students break for the summer, it important for them to utilize opportunities that help them remain productive and apply some of the real life skills they have been developing in college," Yingling said. "Participating in my legislative internship program is a great way for young adults drawn to the fields of government administration, community service, or communications to get a hands on experience that will aid them when they enter the workforce."

Interns will assist Yingling and his legislative staff with community outreach efforts, district research, and event planning and data management. In addition, students will have the opportunity to attend meetings with Yingling and help provide constituent service.

"My internship program is a terrific way for students to become active in their communities, learn about state government and help deal with local issues that affect them and their families," Yingling said. "Working in a legislative office is a unique opportunity for students, and I encourage interested applicants to contact my full time constituent service office."

Yingling's Internship Program has flexible scheduling, and interns will primarily work out of his constituent service office in downtown Grayslake.

Students may apply by emailing their cover letter and resumes to RepSamYingling@Gmail.com For more information, please contact Yingling's district office at 847-231-6262.

Yingling represents the 62nd District, which contains portions of Gages Lake, Grayslake, Hainesville, the Round Lake communities, Wauconda and Wildwood.
