Representative Yingling Helps Secure $25,000 Grant for Grayslake Park District


HAINESVILLE, Ill. – In order to help in the improvement of local park district facilities, State Rep. Sam Yingling, D-Grayslake, helped to secure a state grant of $25,000 which was used to renovate the Jones Island Preschool Building in Grayslake.

“On behalf of the Grayslake Park District, I would like to thank Representative Sam Yingling for advocating for us.” Executive Director Jeff Nehila said. “These funds are a great help in our ongoing efforts to upgrade our facilities.”

Since taking office, Yingling has worked to remain accessible to his constituents and represent the 62nd district in Springfield. The check for $25,000 was presented at the 4th Annual Lake Clean Up & Treasure Hunt at Jones Island Park in Grayslake on Saturday, June 7.

“I am honored to have had the opportunity to aid in securing these funds for the Grayslake Park District,” said Yingling. “Improving our park facilities is very important to our community, and I am excited by all the hard work that the Grayslake Area Park District is doing to improve our community.”
